Dive into Bo Bishop’s Musical Universe In a Recent Interview With The Rising Star

Q. Good day, Bo Bishop! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?

A. I got into music for the first time when Bone Thugs-N-Harmony released “The Art of War” on CD. I remember my father used to let us play that CD, even though he didn’t like it. He would slam on the brakes to the beat, pretending it was hydraulics moving to the rhythm. He introduced me to Clarence Carter, Michael Jackson, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and I’ve been a music lover ever since. I started making music when I began watching music videos on MTV, and I loved how music made me feel. I had to figure out how to give others the same feeling through my music.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. My biggest influences include Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Mac Miller, Bradley Knolls, Gwen Stefani, Jerry Garcia, Les Claypool, Trey Anastasio, and Wu-Tang Clan.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. The highlight of my career so far was being featured in a magazine and getting recognized for the first time. That was a significant milestone for me.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. In the next five years, I hope to become an influential figure in the hip-hop industry and be remembered as someone who contributed positively to hip-hop and rap as an MC.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. My message to my fans and anyone in the world would be, “Look at that guy. He pursued his dreams, and now you can too. Go out there and accomplish your dreams, just like I hope to.”
