Interview With Leanfacee: Making Waves in the Music Industry

Q. Good day,

Leanfacee! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is What made you want to become a musician?

A. Long story short, when I was 8, I heard Jay-Z’s “Dirt Off Your Shoulder,” and I was instantly hooked on the way he rhymed over the beat. That’s how I got into music.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. Mac Miller, J. Cole, and Kendrick Lamar are my biggest influences. I love music that comes from the soul. I feel like music should be a reflection of your soul—it’s part of the creative process, pouring yourself into it.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. Opening up the last slot right before Fat Nick & Bexey at the Orlando Celine. It was the biggest crowd I’ve ever been in front of.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. I see myself with at least 4-5 more projects out, dropping more fire music. The tape I’m about to release, “Heart Break Cemetery,” is finally ready, and I believe it’s my best work yet.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?

A. Keep chasing your dreams and don’t let anyone drag you down or shoot your dreams down because anything and everything is possible.
