Q. Good day, Meda Monsta! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. I started off battling in high school. By the time I was about 18, I was recording every day until I eventually bought my own equipment and went even crazier from there. It’s like everyone around my way just started groups and went to local studios, so music was always around me.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. I’m a heavy Jadakiss fan. I rock with Benny the Butcher at the moment too. They just go to the core with every line—I can almost see what they’re saying, and that’s how I try to piece my details together lyrically.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. Probably performing at SOBs in NY. That was a dope experience.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. Being a featured artist with my favorite artists—that’s a goal of mine within that time span.
