Interview With Zip: The Voice That’s Turning Heads Worldwide

Q. Good day, Zip
! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?

A. I started making music in middle school. I would listen to my cousin and his homeboys rap on BandLab and GarageBand. He would try to get me to hop on, but I was too scared. Even so, I would still write in my book. I fell away from rap after I got caught in a web of crimes and trouble. After beating my case, I decided to take it seriously.

Q. Who are your musical influences and why?

A. Mostly my cousin—he goes by Ktrillz—influenced me. I was also influenced by rappers like X because of his aggression, YTB Fart because of the flow and type beats, and Rlyo and BHM Pezzy because of the punchlines.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. Other than finally getting my name out there, I was able to go and perform my songs to various crowds.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. In 5 years, I see myself as a multimillionaire—not just a rapper, because I’m a jack of all trades. I see myself owning multiple hit records and businesses. I see myself doing things to better this world.

Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters.

A. Patience and determination will take you far.
