Q. Good day, VinnyTrill! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is How did you get into making music?
A. I got into making music after my older brother started to show me artists he was listening to and the freestyles he was doing.
Q. Who are your musical influences and why?
A. My personal musical influences are XXXTENTACION, Denzel Curry, and lowkey Shootergang Kony. When I first stepped into my own music experience, X was always at the top for me. Denzel I got mad respect for because I think he said he grew up in a Jehovah’s Witness family—and so did I—so it hit home. And Shootergang Kony, just the type of timing I look up to. He has his own swag and his music tells stories that I’m into.
Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?
A. My biggest career highlight so far is me making so many great connections with other artists, such as Reddglk, Lil Chika, and TisaKorean.
Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A. In the next five years, I see myself performing at a sold-out show in a different city with a whole bunch of fans packed out and excited to see me.
Q. What Is One Message You Have for Your Fans and Supporters?
A. One message I have to my supporters is: don’t ever try to lock a door you haven’t opened yet. Get out there and make new connections and explore your passion—it might just end up your career.
