From Freestyling With His Brother to Releasing His First Track: An Interview With YoCalum

Q. Good day, YoCalum! We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is, how did you get into making music? 

A. I got into music with my brother. We used to freestyle all the time when I was a kid, and ever since then, I’ve been writing and recording my own songs but never dropped them.

Q. Who would you say are your musical influences?

A. When it comes to my musical influences, they are Lucki, Lil Uzi, D Savage, and many more.

Q. What has been your biggest career highlight so far?

A. My biggest career highlight so far has been releasing my first song under my actual name.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

A. In the next five years, hopefully I see myself rocking the stage. I also see myself being in the industry, helping young and upcoming artists like myself.

Q. What is one message you have for your fans and supporters?

A. A message that I have for both my fans and supporters is, “To everyone who’s been supporting me, encouraging me, and showing love—thank you.” I see it, I feel it, and I appreciate it more than you know. More coming soon.”
