Sleepless Nights and Big Dreams: An Interview With Rising Musician GloPrince

Q. Good day, GloPrince!
We appreciate you taking the time to speak with us. The first thing we want to know is, how would you describe your sound to someone who’s never heard your music before?

A. To someone who’s never heard my music before, I would describe my sound as melodic, angelic, and painful.

Q. Is there a specific song in your catalog that you feel defines who you are as an artist?

A. A song in my catalog that best defines me as an artist would have to be "DIFFERENT" from my EP I released in 2023 called “Aim For The Moon.” This song defines me a lot because during the time I was working on the EP, I was dealing with a lot in my life, which helped me create "DIFFERENT."

Q. If you could collaborate with any artist, living or dead, who would it be and why?

A. An artist I always wanted to collaborate with was Lil Poppa, RIP. I wanted to collaborate with him because I listened to him growing up, and hearing his music for the first time, I really connected to it, and it got me through rough times. I felt we could’ve connected on a deeper level than just music, and I felt like he could’ve taught me more than just this music business.

Q. What's the biggest risk you've taken in your career so far, and what did you learn from it?

A. The biggest risk I’ve taken in my career so far is sleepless nights recording and trusting the process day by day and putting in the hard work. What I’ve learned from this is that’s what comes with the rap game. Anyone can do it—you just have to have consistency and a great team behind you.

Q. If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to your music, what would you want them to know?

A.
If this interview was the last thing someone read before listening to my music, I would want them to know: When you get the chance to listen to my music, don’t listen as a fan or supporter—listen to connect and understand. Everyone has the ability to change the future, and if you’re an artist like me coming from the ground up, don’t stop because you’ll only be at the bottom if you let yourself.
